The first stage adaptation of Aldous Huxley's 1954 essay The Doors of Perception: a full-length, non-verbal work for 13 dancers. Sixteen choreographic scenes move between full sensory immersion and reflective stillness – the body overwhelmed, the mind watching.
Huxley argued that the brain does not produce consciousness but filters what he called “Mind at Large”. Seventy years later, as AI models reason, remember and create, his question returns with new urgency: what separates real understanding from imitation?
Volumetric light, lasers, floor projection, a semi-transparent LED wall, live cameras and real-time LiDAR turn the dancers into living murals, constellations and architecture – all of it choreographed with the movement and driven by an original electronic score.
The work was made over four residencies in 2026 – in Barcelona, at Orsolina28 in Moncalvo, Italy, a visual residency and at Monopol Berlin – and shown in four invitation-only performances at Monopol Berlin on 27–29 August 2026.
