A ballet after Amélie Nothomb’s novel “The Enemy’s Cosmetique.” In an airport lounge, a passenger named Jérôme Angust is buttonholed by a tiresome stranger.

The man introduces himself as Textor Texel, a Dutchman, and launches into a strange life story—from childhood perversions to the confession that he raped Jérôme’s wife and, ten years later, killed her. Now, eaten up by guilt, he asks the unhappy widower to kill him… By way of free association, the novel turns into a ballet.

The story of a murderer, told in five chapters and two jokes, is about the split mind of a man afraid to acknowledge his own wholeness. Only death can free him from his inability to live.
